FutureStars Showcase Bands for 2019

We’ve got a great bunch of performers for our Showcase this year, with new and returning musicians.  Please support these up-and-coming young players by buying your tickets from your favorite band. Tickets are $15 in advance – $20, day of the show.  Proceeds will benefit the Leominster Public School music programs.

From Leominster, after a big year of performing at open mics and opening acts, Zabelle, returns to our stage with new original songs. Follow her on YouTube
Veteran FutureStars from Sterling, The Crushers have become seasoned performers playing locally with an expanded playlist and new originals. Follow them on Instagram
Stones n’ Rotation are back after a busy year as a working band, highlighted by their LTV Music Special in October. Check it out on YouTube
From Rutland, MA, rock n roll band The Midnight Riders play favorites from the 60’s and 70’s, as well as original songs. Follow them on Instagram
These seven musicians from Fitchburg, Leominster and Lunenburg, have joined forces to play at FutureStars as The Longhorn Stompers. The group is planning a dynamic set of covers from Traffic, Pink Floyd & the Grateful Dead for the Showcase.
Corner Booth comes to us from Groton where they regulars at the GDHS and Grange open mics. They play mostly original music, with influences by the Beatles, Steve Miller and Green Day. They are working on their first EP. Follow them on Instagram
City Rockers band The Aquatic Alpacas will make their debut performance at FutureStars with covers of the White Stripes, Twenty One Pilots and more.

FUTURE STARS SHOWCSE 2019

– Call for Bands

City Music hosts a FutureStars Showcase every year. FutureStars gives teen bands an opportunity to perform on stage, with professional sound system support for family and friends. It is an amazing experience for young musicians and impressive to all that attend!

FutureStars is NOT a battle of the bands. It is truly a showcase that welcomes all genres of music. Bands receive cash, prizes and prestige for participating. The band that sells the most tickets earns the coveted ‘headliner’ spot to close the concert, and future opportunities to perform at other public venues.

This years FutureStars Showcase will be held Sunday March 31, 2019 from 4-8pm at the Bull Run Restaurant in Shirley, MA.

Gardner Music Boosters Receive Donation

FutureStars Showcase 2018 Performers

We’re excited about this year’s Showcase bands featuring new groups and returning players, all passionate about music.  Mark your calendar! Sunday, March 25th at 4pm at the Bull Run, in Shirley, MA.

2017 FutureStars Band, The Crushers, Play On!

When they applied to perform at FutureStars Showcase 2017, The Crushers band members knew that the event was a fun chance to play their music for family and friends, because they had performed at the concert the year before.  In 2016, they were a foursome; brothers Ben and Jonathan Godbout (drums and guitar/vocals) and brothers Jake and Zac Brennan (guitar and bass) all between 11 and 13 years old.  In 2017, after a year of working on their music and adding lead vocalist James Barone they knew they could out-do their previous concert performance.  Continue reading “2017 FutureStars Band, The Crushers, Play On!”
