May 15, 2018: City Music presented a check for $1550 to the Gardner Music Boosters, for the benefit of the Gardner Public School music programs, at the GHS 8th Grade & High School Spring Concert. The donation represented proceeds from City Music’s FutureStars Showcase 2018, held on April 3rd at the Bull Run Restaurant.
The 2018 FutureStars concert showcased six local teen bands – representing nine towns and nine different schools – playing on stage for family and friends. The bands sold numerous tickets, packing the concert hall, and they gave everyone an impressive show. Two guitars, donated by City Music and Fender Guitars, were also raffled off, as part of the fund raiser.
Several vendors stepped up to support the benefit in addition to Fender and the Bull Run: Fishman Corporation, Gator Cases, and D’Addario Strings. The local businesses Northeast Video Productions and Northeast Promotion & Apparel also contributed to the effort.
