City Music Welcomes Nathan Samulak
to their Leominster Music Studios
Nathan has a BA in Music and has been performing and teaching violin and viola professionally since 2001.
We are really excited to have Nathan at our studios. Just re-located from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Nathan arrives with many accolades from his teaching there. He is an engaging person that quickly puts students of all ages at ease. He plays a variety of styles including world fusion and classical, and is happy to gear his lessons toward the student’s musical interests. Nathan also offers lessons in the Suzuki method for students as young as age four.
Beginning students of all ages OR students of any age that want to pick up their violin again – Nathan can get you playing!
Nathan will be offering studio hours beginning in September.

Ken Macy‘s newest CD “Outlines” has been nominated for Best CD. Metronome Magazine’s review says “Over his last five albums, Ken Macy has proven himself to be a diverse and creative songwriter. His newest offering, Outlines is just more proof of his burgeoning talents. Good Stuff! ” We certainly think so!
Andy Cummings‘ has two nominations: Best CD for his newest collection of work “Backyard Superhero” and one for Best Solo Acoustic Act. Andy has been called a ‘human jukebox’. He is known for a repertoire that spans many generations and genres of music, all done with style. When he is not teaching guitar lessons at his City Music Studio, he is sure to be performing nearby.

At City Music in Leominster on Wednesday, February 27th From 7-9PM
Meet and witness the extraordinary electric bassist, Stu Hamm, at this FREE Clinic made possible by Washburn Guitars. Stu is renowned for his two handed popping/tapping/slapping techniques that led him to perform and record with legendary guitarists including Steve Vai, Frank Gambale and Joe Satriani.
Check out Stu’s amazing style on this video: of his “Moonlight Sonata” . You can see why he has been voted the “Best Rock Bassist” and “Best Jazz Bassist” multiple times by industry magazine polls.
On Feb. 27th, Stu will present a solo performance, tell of his techniques and his experiences as a recording artist and performer, and invite questions in an informal setting. The clinic will be of interest to any musician, bassist or guitar player fascinated with the tapping/slapping sound and technique. Stu will be available after the performance to greet and sign CD’s.

City Music Welcomes Saxophone Teacher Charles Langford
Charles ‘Chuck’ Langford has immediate openings – saxophone, flute, and clarinet – in the Gardner Lesson Studios.
Applications are being accepted now for lessons in the Leominster Studios; these lessons will begin in October.
Originally from Texarkana, TX, by way of Springfield, MA, Charles L began playing saxophone at the age of nine. Coming out of a musically rich and diverse town, which spawned artists such as Phil Woods, Taj Majal and Avery Sharpe, Charles began his musical training at home with his mother, classical vocalist Mary L. Prior to reading music, with the instruction of Mary, Charles learned his favorite saxophone solos note for note, starting with Paul Desmond’s solo from “A Bridge over Troubled Water.” He began studying with Harvey LaRose, Phil Wood’s saxophone teacher, at 10.
