Piano & Keyboard Teachers
City Music has piano and keyboard lessons for all ages, and for any level. Children are often ready for piano lessons as young as age five – a trial lesson with one of our teachers can help determine readiness. Our teachers are highly qualified to teach children to adults, beginner to advanced levels; they make learning fun and rewarding. As with all of our music lessons, piano students are encouraged to participate in one of our “judgement free” recitals to demonstrate their progress.

Professional Vocalist Sherry Curry has been performing since she was 11 and has studied at Berklee College of Music. She has toured throughout the United States and Canada, with stops at the Palamino and the Gold Nugget in Los Angeles, and at the Grand Ole Opry. She has performed with acts like Reba McEntire, Willie Nelson, Lorretta Lynn and Johnny Cash. Sherry has been teaching at City Music’s Lesson Studios since 2007, instructing students of all ages in proper breathing, performance enhancement, microphone technique, range expansion, and harmony.

A graduate of Fitchburg State University, Marcie Loiselle has been teaching music at several area public schools since 2004. Marcie has been at City Music’s Lesson Studios since 2009, teaching students of all ages piano, voice, skills such as music theory, pedagogy, proper technique and how to read music. In 2006 she founded ACT 1 Productions, a private children’s theater company that specializes in full-scale musical productions and fun, educational theater workshops in school and community settings.

Liam has been a piano player since he first began lessons at four years old. Throughout his musical beginnings he studied with a number of different teachers in multiple towns across Massachusetts, leaving him with a vast and varied understanding of music and piano performance.
Very early on, Liam was reluctant to play piano in front of anyone, including his family and sometimes his teachers, due to high performance anxiety. However, after joining various musical extracurricular programs in school, he soon grew into a natural performer.
He became involved in concert band in middle school, and in high school partook in choir and jazz band, where he was recognized for outstanding musicianship by the Massachusetts Association for Jazz Education. This led him to find opportunities to perform at different local functions and jazz jams at various restaurants and arts centers in central Massachusetts.
Liam has since gone on to attend Berklee College of Music, studying one-on-one with Russ Hoffman, and in group settings with other professors such as producer Anthony "Turt" Nembhard and renowned session musician Marty Walsh. Throughout his time there, he was fortunate enough to perform at multiple Berklee-hosted functions, as well as other clubs, restaurants, and music venues before graduating in 2024.

As a child, Robin was first introduced to music through church and school. Inspired, she took piano lessons and also started vocal training. Her primary influences consisted of her family, friends, teachers and mentors.
She continued her formal training with various teachers and mentors and has performed in musicals and with church worship teams, both singing and playing piano. Robin also recorded a CD in Boston, MA and traveled from NH to TN singing in concerts at churches, promoting her music.
As an instructor, Robin understands that each student, no matter what age, has his or her own leaning style. She teaches all her students accordingly to get to know them and how they learn.
She then uses this information to individualize her lesson plans to best take advantage of each student's abilities and learning skills. No student is ever turned away. Robin will work with them all. She loves to implement fun along with her teaching. As she see it, music is not a chore, it’s a beautiful language and should be taught with a joy that will last forever. As a side note, says Robin, "I absolutely love teaching!"

Jayne holds a bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Anna Maria College and has over a decade of experience as a piano instructor. Her experience has given her a profound understanding of music proficiency, music theory, and effective pedagogical techniques.
In addition to her private piano instruction, Jayne has served as Chorus Director for Surround Sound Chorus (Gardner, MA) as well as Organist/Pianist and Music Director for multiple local churches. In these roles, she has directed and worked very closely with numerous musicians and vocalists to achieve cohesive and engaging musical performances.
As an instructor, Jayne tailors her lesson plans to cater to the unique needs and abilities of each student, fostering an environment of enthusiasm and growth. Guiding her students through recitals, she has helped train them on stage presence techniques and has helped boost their performance confidence. Her creativity, flexibility and self-motivation have been instrumental in her ability to adapt to various teaching scenarios and maintain high levels of student engagement and progress.
Jayne brings her passion for music and teaching to nurturing her students’ musical talent.
