Theater program for children ages 7 – 12 years: A week of lively drama and music fun for kids, doing activities and games to explore basic theater technique with actor, director and musician, Peter Murphy. Students will learn to work together as an ensemble, building individual confidence and developing their artistic expression while working with a script for their finished piece. Children that play instruments will have an opportunity to accompany musical scenes. The week will culminate in a live performance for family and friends at a nearby venue. Click for an application.
Weekly sessions will meet daily at City Music Leominster.
Monday – Friday from 11am – 2pm, plus a finale performance on Saturday.

Session Fee: $250 per week. Sign up for 1, 2 or more weeks. Each session will feature new activities and scripts.
Registration fee: $25. Participants will receive a free City Music Theatre t-shirt.

About the Instructor: Peter Murphy has taught and directed more than 20 theatre productions since 2012, working with children to develop performance skills and inspire a love of theatre. As a musician, actor and director, Peter brings his extensive experience to his program for young actors. He is the founder of Peter Murphy’s Players, and in addition to teaching at City Music, he is the theatre instructor and director for the Imago School, and Nashoba Valley Movement. His past productions include Charlotte’s Web, Peter Pan, and The Pirates of Penzance. He is currently directing The Wizard of Oz with Nashoba Valley Movement & Peter Murphy’s Players.
