City Music’s FutureStars Showcase allows young aspiring musicians the opportunity to perform on the stage of the Bull Run Concert Hall with full professional sound stage support provided by Bedlam Productions.

Your purchase will also support music in our public schools.  City Music donates the proceeds from this and all FutureStars events to public school music programs – nearly $15000 since 2005. The 2016 Showcase proceeds will benefit the Gardner Public Schools.

Summer Rock ‘n’ Roll Fun at City Music

Rock ‘n’ Roll School

with John Nickerson

Musicians 18 years or younger,

this is your chance to

play, sing and jam in a band.

We’re putting young musicians together to experience the fun of playing in a group and working towards a live performance.   You can do it!

Groups will be assembled by age, interest and instrument suitability.  City Music staffer and professional musician John Nickerson will oversee each session assisting in repertoire choices and arrangements while supervising rehearsal technique.   Players should be able to play basic chords and rhythms on their instruments as the sessions will focus on working together towards a future performance.

8 Weekly 90 minute Sessions held Sundays 4 – 5:30 or 5 – 7:30 pm, in Leominster only.

Sessions Dates run June 29th through August 24th.  (no rehearsals July 6th)

Summer Rock ‘n’ Roll School fee is $260.

The guitar has been donated by Yamaha Corporation and City Music in an effort to support the music programs of our local schools.  The Gardner Music Booster Association assists the school music programs in a variety of ways including financial support of music events and equipment needs throughout the Gardner Public Schools.

Its an impressive line-up of bands and soloists playing both cover and original material in a variety of genres.  Come see what these young people – all 18 and younger – have accomplished on their own and with friends.  It is very likely that you will witness the early performance of true Future Stars.

Tickets are on sale from the performers and at City Music for $15  ($20 at the door).    Be sure to support your favorite performer as the band and soloist that sells the most tickets will win recording time courtesy of The Root Cellar
