Lesson Program Administrator

A friendly, engaging person wanted to oversee a robust music program within our retail establishment.

Responsibilities will include:
• Answering phone inquiries
• Communicating program policies
• Connecting prospective students with suitable teachers
• Managing instructor schedules and payments
• Recording attendance and schedule changes
• Overseeing tuition payments
• Promoting various enrichment opportunities for students

Applicants need:
• Computer skills and familiarity with office software
• Customer service experience
• Effective communication skills both on the phone and in person
• To enjoy connecting with people and families

25 – 28 hours per week, late afternoons/early evenings with occasional Saturdays to host enrichment programs.

Studio hours are primarily afternoons and evenings.

Applicants must have:
• Undergraduate degree in music education or music performance
• Experience working with children
• A desire to demonstrate the joy of learning a musical instrument

Sales Staff

Responsibilities will include:
• Greeting and assisting customers
• Handling phone calls
• Demonstrating musical instruments and equipment
• Maintaining displays, and back-stock
• Tagging and re-stocking merchandise
• Taking orders and conducting follow-up
• Assisting in receiving new stock

Applicants need:
• Sales experience
• Some computer skills, ideally with point of sale software experience
• The ability to attend to detail and follow up leads and sales
• To be able to work on your feet throughout your shift
• To be able to lift as much as 50 pounds
• A willingness to work both independently and as a member of a team
• Musical knowledge or background in any one of the following:

 sound reinforcement
 music performance
 music recording
 music instruction
 music education
 playing music to intermediate or greater level

Some weekend/evening hours will be required.
