Wow!  We had a great concert with awesome local teen musicians – new faces and returning veterans – all while raising funds for local public school music programs.

More than 220 friends, family and musicians filled the Bull Run Concert Venue on April 3rd, to hear  performances of covers and originals in a wide variety of genres.

Each band earned cash for ticket sales, commemorative t-shirts, and a video of their set.  In addition, the solo/duo and the band that sold the most tickets received $50 and $150 in City Music gift cards.

As always, proceeds from our FutureStars Showcase will be donated to public school music programs, along with funds raised in the raffle of the Fender acoustic – electric guitar, and the Washburn Festival Series acoustic – electric guitar. This year, Gardner Schools will receive our donation.  Stay tuned for that event later this spring.

I am sure we will see more of these talented young people as they pursue their musical interests.  Play on!
